Gear Up!
In this age of bare bones airline service, Lady Skywriter serves up an entertaining program recalling the vastly different passenger experience of 50 years ago. She reacquaints us with a time when T-shirts, shorts and flip-flops were unthinkable airplane attire, and suits, hats and dresses were de rigueur.
Come along for a ride back to the 1950s on a Northwest Airlines Boeing B-377 Stratocruiser. Lady Skywriter will share stories and vintage photographs from her own collection, of her days working on the double-deck airplane with the lounge “downstairs.” We will take off from your location and wing our way back to the golden era of passenger flight ~ a time when Elvis was “king,” Ike was president and Hollywood actress Grace Kelly married Prince Ranier and became Princess of Monaco.
Fasten your seat belts for “Fujiyama Trays & Oshibori Towels,” from the book of the same title. Ideally suited for airline associations, historical societies, civic, fraternal and church groups, and senior centers.
Customize your program by adding Stratocruiser-style refreshments such as warm, scented Oshibori towels, champagne (regular or non-alcoholic) or the fabulous Fujiyama Tray. Contact Lady Skywriter for details at 612-865-5377 or anne@ladyskywriter.com
